In a post from 23.03.2016 I expressed at the time the intention to complete a cody made of cotton as a new project until the kite festival in Fanø/DK in June. To my apology I have to say that I did not write the year to it.
Today, more than 7 years later, I can proudly announce that the cotton Cody War Kite project is nearing completion. Just two more sticks to fit and rigging lines and bridle to attach, and I’m done. In any case, the fabric is well seasoned.
The first impression of the kite with 50 cm cells after the provisional construction is promising. So far I’m using the same poles as on my spinnaker cody, bamboo poles are in the works but will be fitted after Fanø. This time, however, I really mean after Fanø 2023.
